Year 9 Raising Aspirations Tuesday 4th February Visit Letter

Dear Year 9 Student and Parents/Carers

CLF Raising Aspirations Event

On Tuesday 4th February 2020 Year 9 students have the opportunity to participate in a careers event called ‘Raising Aspirations’ hosted at The University of the West of England, Filton Rd, Stoke Gifford, Bristol BS34 8QZ.

We will leave school at 8:30am to travel to the above address and we will return at approximately 3pm. It is crutial for students to arrive to school by 8:25am at the latest, as the coach will be leaving at 8:30am. If students miss the bus they will not be able to attend the event and will be expected to stay in school.

This careers event gives students the opportunity to meet a range of employers, gain employability skills and explore their Post 16 options. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable career insights and start to explore options after GCSEs.

Students must wear full school uniform. Students need to bring a packed lunch as there is nowhere at the venue for students to purchase food. If your child receives free school meals then we will provide a packed lunch for them.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child attending this event then please contact Miss Cook the Careers and Aspirations co-ordinator before the event.

Yours Sincerely,
Aston Cook
Career & Aspirations Coordinator
