CLF Covid Update to Parents

Tuesday 1st March 2022

Dear parents/carers

Following the removal of all remaining legal Covid restrictions in England, we are writing to you to update you on our ongoing Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) Covid mitigations in place at City
Academy Bristol.

While there is no longer a legal requirement to self-isolate after a positive test, all CLF academies will still request students and staff to isolate for a minimum of 5 days and take two negative lateral flow tests before returning to academies, to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

We will also continue to implement our existing mitigations, which include:

1. We will enhance cleaning routines at all CLF sites;
2. We will keep spaces well ventilated; which may occasionally mean pupils will be invited to wear their coat indoors;
3. We encourage handwashing/sanitising and the ‘catch it, kill it, bin it’ approach;
4. We will continue to request anyone exhibiting symptoms to remain at home or to be collected if symptoms develop;
5. We encourage students and staff to take up vaccinations and boosters.

We will review these guidelines at the end of March in line with the Government’s intention to stop free testing on April 1 and will update you again.

Kind regards

Ben Tucker, Principal
