Airbus Aircraft challenge with Small Piece Trust
Forty-five students from Years 7 and 8 at City Academy took part in the Airbus Aircraft Challenge.
Students worked in small groups to design, develop and make a small aircraft out of wood. Students had a fantastic time designing three aeroplanes and testing them out before starting to build a bigger scale plane.
Their finished creations were then displayed in school for everyone to view.
Ant from Small Piece Trust, which is an educational charity that inspires young people to pursue careers in science and engineering through events and workshops, was impressed by the creativity of City Academy’s students.
