Bristol Bears Foundation announces partnership with Cabot Learning Federation

Bristol Bears Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) aimed at inspiring young people through the power of sport.
As part of this collaboration, a full-time member of Bristol Bears Foundation staff will be based at City Academy School five days a week, delivering programmes such as Brightsparks and Bear In Mind along with one-to-one mentoring and opportunities to play Rugby in a safe and supportive space.
This new initiative will focus on engaging students through the power and influence of the Bristol Bears brand, helping those who may struggle with everyday school engagement to build confidence, motivation and a sense of belonging.
Together, Bristol Bears Foundation and CLF are committed to creating positive change in the lives of young people in Bristol and surrounding areas by supporting wellbeing, education and personal growth through meaningful, long-term collaboration.
Jamie Skinner, Bristol Bears Foundation CEO, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to expand the reach of the Foundation’s work through a dedicated, full-time role at City Academy. By delivering key interventions aligned with attendance and one-to-one mentoring, alongside our Foundation programmes Bear in Mind and Bright Sparks, we can make a real impact on young people’s lives by using the power of rugby to engage new audiences and support young people on their educational journey.”
Ben Tucker, City Academy Principal, said: “We are delighted to continue working with the Bristol Bears Foundation and are excited by the many opportunities and the impact that this new role will have for our students at City Academy.”
