City Academy students take the stage at Bristol Old Vic

Fourteen Year 7 students from City Academy have collaborated with directors from the prestigious Bristol Old Vic to create a unique and powerful performance inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet.

Students will showcase their original work on the main stage at Bristol Old Vic in front of their families, marking an exciting milestone in their creative journey.

Throughout the process, they have shown exceptional dedication and imagination, taking on the challenge of scripting and producing the piece themselves.

Rebecca Pearce, drama teacher at City Academy, said: “These young people have been an inspiration.

“Their commitment, creativity, and teamwork have been extraordinary.

“They’ve truly grown as performers and as individuals through this process.”
