City Academy students treading the boards at The Bristol Old Vic
City Academy students honed their stage skills at numerous workshops every Wednesday after school for two months where a professional acting coach visited the academy and worked with the students on a piece of drama.
The 15 students then performed their piece along with other students from the Cabot Learning Federation at the internationally-recognised theatre The Bristol Old Vic. The students did a fantastic job and very much appreciated the opportunity.
Rebecca Pearce, drama teacher at City Academy, said: “Students from City Academy teamed up Bristol Old Vic. During this amazing process they spent two terms working with experienced directors and script writers and devised a play. They then rehearsed and performed on the main stage to their parents and guardians.
“They got to experience an extremely enriching, fulfilling and memorable experiences and were real role models for the school. I was proud of their creativity.”
