SEND Review workshop for young people; voices raised!

SAY are excited to share that we are working together with KIDs Consortium and the CDC to make sure that CYP are given the chance to be heard.  We plan a fun workshop on Tuesday May 31st at The Engine Room (THE STATION, Silver Street, Bristol BS12AG) to give CYP the opportunity to share their views on The SEND Review.

WHAT IS THE SEND REVIEW?  The send review sets out the governments ideas for a system that will help young people to

  • Do well and be the best they can be
  • Get the right support at the right time
  • Lead happy and healthy lives

The Government wants to improve opportunities for ALL young people.  They are just as ambitious for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.  They looked at the key challenges of the current SEND system and thought about what could make it better.  Now that they have some ideas, they need to know what young people, parents / carers and practitioners think about how they can make them work!

We invite you to share this opportunity and inform young people who would like to join us on May 31st.  Please find a poster attached, a video link recorded by Abbie, our fab Intern, via this video link  https://www.youtube.com/SAY SEND Review Workshop and for the essential Eventbrite link, click below for more information and to save a place.
