Year 9 BIMA Digital Day with Torchbox
Thirty Year 9 students from City Academy took part in the British Interactive Media Association BIMA digital day, led by local digital marketing company Torchbox.
This is the second year the school has taken part in this initiative, which saw students given a mock business challenge where they had to help Vue, an international cinema chain, improve its digital presence.
Miss Martin, City Academy’s Careers and Aspirations Coordinator, said: “The students had lots of fantastic ideas which they went on to present in a Dragon’s Den-type format.
“The winning team’s idea has been entered into the national competition with a chance to win £500 cash for their school and prizes for themselves.”
