‘It Takes a Village’ Follow up Event

The Commission on Race Equality (C.o.R.E) would like to invite you to
‘It Takes a Village’ Follow up Event
5pm (Food & Networking) 6pm start-9.30pm Thursday 12th December @ City Academy
We invite you to the follow up ‘It Takes a Village’ event where we will be providing feedback and an update on all your recommendations from the sessions held on Criminal Justice.
This event will include information on youth provisions in the community, family/parenting groups, mentoring schemes, the criminal justice system, and your rights and responsibilities under ‘stop & search’.
There will also be a workshop; understanding youth violence, social media and signs of grooming.
There will be number of agencies, community led youth groups, members of the criminal justice system attending, and an opportunity for you to ask questions to any of these groups.
This event is aimed at Black and dual heritage families and carers all are welcome including our young people.

CLF Post 16 Open Evening – Tuesday 22nd October
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Cabot Learning Federation’s Post 16 Open Evening is on the 22nd October 2019. This event will take place at Bristol Brunel Academy from 4.00 – 7.30pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet our Post 16 team, visit the school and find out more about the opportunities provided by the CLF for our students.

Year 6 Induction Day – Tuesday 25th June
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our Year 6 Induction Day takes place on Tuesday 25th June.
We would like to invite all year 6 students to spend the day at City Academy as part of their transition on Tuesday 25th June 2019. We would like students to arrive between 8.45am and 9.00am. The school day will finish at 3.30pm. We would then like to invite parents/carers to join their child at 3.30pm for an induction meeting for families.

Trip to Reykavic, Iceland in March 2020
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We are planning on running a trip to Iceland in March 2020 for students in current years 7, 8 and 9.
We are offering you a very special once in a life time trip to Iceland to see its unique landscape full of glaciers, volcanoes, geysers, waterfalls and many other special attractions. The trip will take place over 5 days and 4 nights with full board accommodation at a hotel with a feature visit to one of the wonders of the world ‘The blue Lagoon’.
